During her appearance on Heart Radio on Oct. 3, Taylor Swift said that she "never thought about" wedding planning until she met her fiancé, Travis Kelce

"You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person," the "Wood" singer said

Taylor Swift claims she never envisioned her bridal era until now.

Although Swift, 35, has been writing songs that reference marriage or engagement since she was a teenager, the bride-to-be spoke with Emma Bunton (a.k.a. Baby Spice), 49, on Heart Radio in the U.K. on Friday, Oct. 3, about how she "never thought" about her own wedding festivities until she met "the person." The interview was timed to the release of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

"You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person," Swift said, referring to her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

"So I haven't even thought about that, doing a hen do [U.K. name for a bachelorette party] or whatever," she continued. "This is the first time I have thought about that."

Bunton pointed out that Swift has a "good girl gang" who can help her celebrate. Swift, however, noted that it might be difficult to gather all of her friends because "they're so fun, but so busy" and "everyone is scattered across the world."

Elsewhere during the interview, Swift was asked about her thoughts on her new "married life era," to which the "Opalite" singer admitted that it's something that hasn't crossed her mind yet.

"I mean, I just got engaged. These things just happened to me," Swift said with a laugh before noting that she's "really excited" for what's in store.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Aug.26, sharing the photos from the floral-filled proposal in a joint post on Instagram with the caption, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨." The post has now been liked over 37 million times.

While speaking on U.K. chat show The Graham Norton Show on Oct. 3, the 14-time Grammy winner revealed that the proposal took place directly after she and Kelce, 35, filmed their record-shattering Aug. 13 podcast episode for New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce.

"He really crushed it in surprising me," Swift told Norton about Kelce, who is referenced multiple times in her new album. "While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in."

"He went all out – 10 out of 10," she said.

As for wedding planning, Swift said she wants to tackle "the album stuff first.""I think it will be fun to plan," she added.
