Reneé Rapp is adding her name to the list of pop stars speaking out against the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.
At a concert in Portland, Oregon, where President Donald Trump recently deployed the National Guard, Rapp made reference to the move, telling crowds: "And it just happens that we time out that we're here at the same time as some people who shouldn't … be here are."
Portland is the latest in a string of cities, including Chicago and Los Angeles, where the president has authorized National Guard personnel to enter in an alleged effort to combat crime.
1 / 21See how Portland keeps it 'weird' as ICE patrols streetsProtesters dressed as frogs have become a symbol of the movement outside of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Portland on Oct. 13, 2025 in Portland. The frog costumes began to multiply after a federal agent sprayed the air vent of a protester's frog costume during a protest in early October.
Rapp, who rose to fame on Broadway and television before pivoting to pop stardom, went on to hurl expletives at "ICE," "this administration," and "Trump," saying she wanted to make her position on the president's mass deportation campaign "abundantly clear."
The "Leave Me Alone" singer then thanked Portland for having her, saying: "You are very gracious hosts, thank you for having us."

Chappell Roan is told to 'get a grip' from DHS after slamming ICE during concert
Rapp joins the likes of Chappell Roan and Bad Bunny in speaking out against Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers who have become increasingly militant in their arrest tactics.
In a break from White House norms, both the West Wing and the Department of Homeland Security have begun to respond directly to artists' criticisms, escalating an often-heated war of words between the entertainment industry and the Trump Administration.
Rapp is in the midst of a tour to support her album "Bite Me," released in August. The run of shows will wrap later this month in Charlotte, North Carolina.
