<p>The Cleveland Cavaliers are acquiring point guard Lonzo Ball from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for swingman Isaac Okoro, ESPN reported Saturday.</p>
<p>The trade cannot become official until July 6.</p>
<p>After being sidelined for more than two seasons and undergoing three operations on his left knee, Ball returned in 2024-25 to play in 35 games (14 starts) for Chicago. He averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists.</p>
<p>Ball, 27, is averaging 11.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 287 games (253 starts) with the Los Angeles Lakers (2017-19), New Orleans Pelicans (2019-21) and Bulls. He was drafted No. 2 overall by the Lakers in 2017.</p>
<p>Okoro, 24, recorded career-low averages in points (6.1), rebounds (2.4), games (55) and starts (22) last season, his fifth with Cleveland.</p>
<p>He is averaging 8.1 points and 2.8 boards in 334 career games (238 starts) since being drafted by the Cavaliers with the No. 5 overall pick in 2020.</p>
