<p>Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos' wedding took place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, on Friday, June 27</p>
<p>Shortly after the ceremony, Sánchez shared several photos of her high-necked, hand-appliquéd Italian lace wedding dress designed by Dolce&Gabbana on Instagram</p>
<p>The gown was based on the wedding dress Sophia Loren wore to marry Cary Grant in the 1958 film Houseboat, according to Vogue</p>
<p>For Lauren Sánchez, her wedding dress was pure "magic."</p>
<p>PEOPLE confirmed the Emmy award-winning journalist, 55, tied the knot with husband Jeff Bezos, 61, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy. Just hours after the ceremony, Sánchez shared her first wedding photo on Instagram, the account name and bio of which quickly changed to "Lauren Sánchez Bezos." About half an hour after her first post, Sánchez shared a second post gushing over her wedding dress.</p>
<p>"Not just a gown, a piece of poetry. Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made," Sánchez wrote.</p>

<p>The bride revealed three photos of herself wearing her high-necked, hand-appliquéd Italian lace wedding dress designed by Dolce&Gabbana during what appears to be dress fittings.</p>
<p>InVogue's June 2025 digital cover story, Sánchez said that she felt "like a princess" in the gown. She had met with Domenico Dolce in New York more than a year and a half ago to start crafting her dream dress, which was inspired by another celebrity.</p>
<p>She told the outlet her "timeless" dress was based on the high-necked lace wedding dress Sophia Loren wore to marry Cary Grant in the 1958 film Houseboat.</p>

<p>The dress was more modest than what Sánchez typically goes for.</p>
<p>"It went from 'I want a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'I want something that evokes a moment,' and where I am right now," she told the outlet. "I am a different person than I was five years ago."</p>

<p>In a video posted by Vogue on Instagram, Sánchez said, "It just feels like, I don't know, it carries everything I've walked through to get here. It's elegant, it's timeless, it's soft."</p>
<p>"Domenico really captured something that feels like where I am right in this moment, right now," she continued.</p>
<p>Dolce was spotted on Friday heading to the star-studded wedding via boat with Guilherme Siqueira. The pair wore black suits for the formal event.</p>

<p>Other celebrities among the 200 wedding guests include: Bill Gates, Paula Hurd, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Usher, Jenn Goicoechea, Sydney Sweeney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Vittoria Ceretti, Orlando Bloom, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Diane von Fürstenberg, Karlie Kloss, Tom Brady, Ellie Goulding, Queen Rania of Jordan, Jewel Kilcher, John Elkann, Lavinia Borromeo, Francois-Henri Pinault and Brooks Nader.</p>
<p>Also spotted were Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, along with her daughters Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Kylie also brought her two young children, daughter Stormi and son Aire, to Venice.</p>
