Man Abandoned as Baby Discovers His Birth Mother Had Tattoo of Him on Her Arm in Emotional Video Long Lost Family -
A man abandoned as a baby became emotional when he discovered his birth mother had both a photograph of him by her bedside and a tattoo of his likeness on her arm
The discovery came to light during an episode of the U.K. television show Long Lost Family
55-year-old Martin — who didn't know he had any siblings — also had an emotional meeting with his brother Mark, 44, in a clip exclusively obtained by PEOPLE
A man abandoned as a baby was in tears as he learned his birth mother had a tattoo of him on her arm, before he was reunited with his long-lost brother.
On the latest episode of the U.K. television show Long Lost Family, host Nicky Campbell, 64, met 55-year-old Martin, a musician from Gloucestershire in the south west of England.
The meeting occurred after Martin's brother, Mark, 44, approached the show to search for his sibling, decades after Martin was placed for adoption as a baby, per a press release obtained by PEOPLE.
Mark mentioned on the show that his birth mother, Diane, who died in 2023 at age 73, had slept with a photo of Martin as a baby by her bedside, and even had the image tattooed on her arm.
"I was always intrigued by this photo... this one was beside her bed. She had it tattooed on her arm, this picture, as well. He looks such a happy little chappy on there," Mark said.

"Somehow, I knew it wasn't me. I would ask my [mom] 'Who's that?' you know, and she was very vague, very - you know, elusive on it," he added. "Eventually, she said, 'That's your brother, yeah. He got taken away.'"
In a clip from the episode obtained by PEOPLE, Martin — who had originally been called Kevin David Phillips and was born in the U.K. city of Norwich — was told by host Campbell about his mother's special tattoo.
"And I've got to tell you this...She had a tattoo of you," Campbell told him in the video.
An emotional Martin replied, "At least she wasn't averse to tats. They're not everybody's cup of tea," wiping away tears.

The show revealed that Diane had given birth to Martin, her first child, at age 19 when she was single, and the brothers' grandad insisted she place him for adoption.
Mark — who lives with his wife Katie and their three young kids, Zak, Noah, and Evie — said, "The thought of that, I'd be lost without my children, it would be like losing part of your heart really."

Mark, who was raised by his mom, said of the image she'd had tattooed of Martin, "The little photo, it's created a large shadow..." It was also revealed in the episode that Diane suffered from bouts of depression in the years after Martin was placed for adoption.
Martin — who said he knew from an early age that he'd been placed for adoption, but wasn't aware he had any siblings — said, "I can't wait to meet the guy, this guy's put his soul on this piece of paper. Well done. Top bloke," after reading Mark's letter.
After host Davina McCall, 58, told Mark that his brother Martin had been found, he said discovering his sibling felt "really strange."
The brothers then had an emotional reunion, with Mark telling Martin, "It was such a bombshell for you and I was the one setting the bomb off," as Martin revealed the surprise had been a happy one. "Yeah, but it turned out to be full of glitter," he said.
The latest episode of Long Lost Family airs on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 9 p.m. local time on ITV 1 and ITV X. Episodes are also available on ITV's YouTube channel.
