Dancing with the Stars' Halloween night has come to an end, but there's plenty that didn't make it to TV
PEOPLE was on site to spot celebrity guests and more amid the night's performances

Dancing with the Stars offered plenty of treats for Halloween night!
As the Tuesday, Oct. 28, episode of the ABC competition series saw nine couples take on everything from an Argentine Tango to a Viennese Waltz — and before Jen Affleck and partner Jan Ravnik eventually said their goodbyes — PEOPLE was on site to see how the stars prepared for their big moments and to get a closer look at who was there to cheer them on.
Among the notable faces in the ballroom during week seven of season 34, were a pair of stars there to support an old colleague's brother. Ashley Tisdale and Kenny Ortega indeed had a mini High School Musical reunion on Tuesday night, cheering on Dylan Efron and partner Daniella Karagach.

Tisdale and Ortega previously worked alongside Dylan's older brother Zac on the HSM franchise, as Ortega directed and choreographed the movies and Tisdale starred as Sharpay Evans alongside Zac's Troy Bolton. While in attendance, the duo snapped a selfie and Tisdale, 40, wrote that she loves Ortega, 75, "so much."
"So much fun cheering on [Dylan] together," she wrote, before Dylan, 33, reposted the image with a few crying emojis to show his excitement.
Tisdale also shared a boomerang of Ortega lifting up her eldest daughter, 4-year-old Jupiter, on her Instagram Stories. She shares both Jupiter and her 1-year-old daughter Emerson Clover with husband Christopher French.
"Took the princess to Dancing with the Stars," she wrote. "And she got to dance with the one and only [Kenny Ortega]."
Elsewhere during Halloween night, other attendees included Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos, season 32 winner Xochitl Gomez and Maks Chmerkovskiy. Both Chmerkovskiy, 45, and Ravnik, 30 — who made headlines earlier this week after Chmerkovskiy's critiques of Ravnik's casting — were in the show's makeup area at one point but it wasn't clear if they had interacted.
Also backstage, contestant Robert Irwin was spotted practicing his performance by himself, holding onto the air like someone was standing beside him.
He eventually performed an Argentine Tango to "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" by The Hampton String Quartet, alongside partner Witney Carson.
Derek Hough also turned heads at the ballroom, rocking a cowboy hat after teasing a head shave if he won 'Sexiest 40 Year Old' in PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive 2025 reader's choice poll.

Ultimately, the night ended with Affleck and her partner being eliminated, as she told PEOPLE that the experience taught her that "you can do anything you set your mind to."
"If you have a goal and dream, it's possible. And what matters at the end of the day is not the trophy, but it's the story you're telling and the intention and purpose you have behind whatever goal it is. And my purpose behind being on Dancing with the Stars was so I could tell my story and so I could inspire other moms," she said. "And I think I was able to do that along the way, and connect with so many other moms out there that feel similar to me."
