A source tells PEOPLE that the newlyweds celebrated their marriage together by going on a "little honeymoon" road trip
"It was perfect," the insider says
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez began their marriage with a mini-moon.
A source tells PEOPLE that Blanco, 37, and Gomez, 33, kicked off their life as husband and wife by going on a "little honeymoon" road trip. The newlyweds tied the knot in a tented ceremony in California on Saturday, Sept. 27.
"They loved their little honeymoon," the source says. "They celebrated for days during their wedding and was on such a high. They really enjoyed slowing down, going on a road trip to explore and relax. They drove up the Cali coast and also visited Texas."
The insider adds, "It was perfect."

Wearing multiple looks by Ralph Lauren, the music producer and the singer-actress said "I do" last month in a star-studded celebration that their wedding DJ, Mark Ronson, recently described as being "a lot of fun."
A-list guests included Gomez's Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Paul Rudd, Ashley Park and Cara Delevingne; her Emilia Pérez costars Édgar Ramírez and Zoe Saldaña; and her former Wizards of Waverly Place costars Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera. Other notable guests at the nuptials were Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Paris Hilton, SZA, Camila Cabello, Eric André, Finneas, Nina Dobrev, Maiara Walsh, Garrett Clayton, Sofia Carson, Paulina Char, and Tanya Rad.
A different source previously told PEOPLE that Gomez and Blanco curated the perfect night for themselves and their guests to celebrate their marriage, sharing, "There was so much love in the room."
"At the reception, everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night. The vibe was so much fun," the insider said.
The newlyweds were "glowing all night" and "couldn't stop smiling," the source added at the time.
While speaking at Fortune's Most Powerful Women conference on Oct. 15, Gomez opened up about her unexpected reaction to getting married — and why she struggles to accept some of life's joyful moments.
"This is how I work personally, but something great happens in my life, I expect something bad to happen," the "Bluest Flame" singer explained. "So instead of being present and saying, 'Okay, wow, we've done a great thing,' which I do, I'm always thinking, 'Okay, but this could all go away tomorrow, so how can I make sure that doesn't happen?' "

Gomez said she often gets "wrapped up" in an irrational sense of dread instead of just enjoying the good things that happen to her, even at her recent wedding.

"I would say that's my biggest conflict sometimes when wonderful things happen," she said. "I got married and then I was sobbing because I was like, 'I'm gonna die the next day.' I just think that's a little life thing."
