MGK, 35, revealed one of his all-time craziest fan interactions
He shared the story while speaking during a moderated discussion at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles on Oct. 1
The musician also went on to discuss his creative process, noting that he credits his "relentless" imagination for his continued success
MGK recently revealed one of his all-time craziest fan encounters.
He shared the story at The Drop, a live interview series hosted at the GRAMMY Museum in L.A., on Wednesday, Oct. 1. During the moderated discussion, the "Bloody Valentine" singer said that an impassioned fan once lay in front of his tour bus in an attempt to stop him from leaving the area.
"In Europe, [...] this fan was, like, 'I didn't get enough time with you in the show.' And so he laid in front of the bus," MGK, 35, recalled.
"And we were like, 'Bro, you got to move.' He inched closer to the wheel. He was like, 'I'm not moving, bro.' And my boy [...] picked him up and put him in a flower pot. His head's in a flower pot. His legs are sticking out the flower pot."
"We get back in the bus, we're like, 'That was gnarly,' [Then] the bus driver's like, 'He's in front of the wheels again," he continued, adding, "He wanted more time, which was sweet."

MGK went on to say that he's currently getting ready to tour his latest album, Lost Americana, which dropped in August, noting that he plans to begin the tour on the West Coast.
"I think it's been two or three years since I toured," he said. "I'm going to start here in L.A. at the [Kia] Forum."

He added, "I had a grudge. The Forum was like this close to selling out [on my last tour]. So I was like, 'You ain't getting over on me, buddy!' And then we're going to tour for about a year and a half, which I'm excited about because — little does anyone know — that during that time, at some point, another album will surface."

The musician, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly, went on to discuss his creative process, noting that he credits much of his success to his "relentless" imagination.
"[...] One of the hardest things to do as you grow up is to maintain your imagination. There's this whole notion of growing up. You have to lose that," he said. "And I think the only reason that my art continues to evolve is because my imagination won't go anywhere. It's relentless, and it's something that I hold onto as closely as I hold on to my children."
As for his advice to aspiring young artists? He said it's evolved over time.

"Everyone comes up to me [who's] an aspiring artist, and they're like, 'Dude, what's the advice you have?' And I remember my response a lot of times: 'Oh, your image. [What] makes you unique?' [...] But, I don't know if that's the right thing. I think actually the right response is, 'What do you stand for?' " he said.
