Vandy High Tea was hosted at "Vandy Manor," the home of Van Dyke and Silver in Malibu, Calif.
Dick Van Dyke is always bringing the laughter and good vibes!
On Sunday, Oct. 5, the actor, 99, and his wife, Arlene Silver, hosted the Vandy High Tea, a charity event raising funds to benefit The Van Dyke Endowment of the Arts and the Dick Van Dyke Museum, which is currently in development.
During the event, Dick led a sing-along for a young fan, Tristian, who was celebrating his 6th birthday. He and his mother traveled from Connecticut to see Van Dyke in person, and the child held on to Bert and Mary Poppins dolls during the gathering.
Alongside singing "Happy Birthday," Dick also performed "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "Supervalafragelisticexpialidocious," plus the theme from The Dick Van Dyke Show.
"He was so sharp, was in great health and said he's feeling good," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "He was laughing almost the entire time and couldn't have enjoyed himself more."

The Vandy High Tea was produced by Chris Isaacson Presents and hosted by Stu Shostak at "Vandy Manor," the home of Van Dyke and Silver, 54, in Malibu, Calif.
Guests enjoyed sandwiches and desserts from Monrose Catering, as well as a variety of refreshments, including the "Fitzwilly Fizz."

"These unique and intimate afternoon gatherings celebrate the life and career of Mr. Dick Van Dyke with Arlene Van Dyke and special guests," a social media post promoting the event reads.

Van Dyke's appearance at the Oct. 5 event took place months after he was supposed to host Vandy Camp alongside his wife at the Arlene & Dick Van Dyke Theater at Malibu High School on June 28, but had to drop out last minute due to illness.
Identifying herself as "not the Van Dyke you're expecting" during a speech, Silver told fans in attendance, "I have to inform you that Dick is not up to coming to celebrate with us today. I'm sorry."
"When you're 99 and a half years old, you have good days and bad days ... and unfortunately, today is not a good day for him, and he's sick that he can't be here," she continued.
The annual Vandy Camp event sees Van Dyke and Silver work alongside their musical group to honor their "passion for comedy, vaudeville and the circus," according to a press release obtained by PEOPLE.
Later this year, on Dec. 13, Van Dyke will mark his milestone 100th birthday. The Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star previously told PEOPLE exclusively that he has no plans to slow down as he ages. "I love what I do for a living," he said.
