CHICAGO – Dua Lipa has plenty of optimism – and the soaring voice and skin-baring outfits to complement it.
The English pop superstar, who turned 30 in August, landed at Chicago's United Center Sept. 5 for the start of the US leg of her Radical Optimism Tour, bringing 22 dance-pop hits, chic costumes befitting the Chanel and YSL ambassador, and a rising platform to a sold-out crowd.
After taking a few months off this summer following a two-month European run, Dua Lipa returned to the stage Sept. 1 for two nights in Toronto before a pair of dates in Chicago.
Dua Lipa's tour will span the country, playing multiple dates in cities including Atlanta, New York, Dallas and San Francisco before wrapping Oct. 16 in Seattle and then heading to South America. Upstart New York singer Cil, who opened for Stevie Nicks in 2023, is supporting all of the US shows.
Dua Lipa's glossy production included 10 songs from "Radical Optimism," her third studio album released in May 2024 that boasted hits "Training Season" and "Houdini," which bookended the start and finish of the two-hour show.
