In the lead-up to their Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo has re-signed outside linebacker Andre Jones Jr. and cornerback A.J. Woods to the team's practice squad.

To make room for Jones and Woods on the practice squad, the Bills released cornerback Anthony Kendall and defensive lineman Austin Johnson. Jones makes his way back to One Bills Drive after a short stint playing in three games this season with the Miami Dolphins.

Jones played in three regular-season games for Buffalo during the 2025 NFL season, making five tackles (one solo). He appeared in one playoff game last season, registering one additional tackle (all stats per Pro Football Reference ).

Kendall departs the Bills after playing 31 defensive snaps on defense during Buffalo's road win over the Los Angeles Rams. His replacement, Woods, has yet to play in an NFL regular-season since becoming a pro in 2024.

The 32-year-old Johnson has had several stints with the Bills, dating back to the 2024 NFL season in which he made two interceptions in the regular season for Buffalo's defense. In total that season, Johnson played in 15 games, making one start; adding 19 tackles (7 solo), one quarterback hit, half a sack, two pass defenses, and the two aforementioned interceptions for nine yards (per Pro Football Reference ).
