Margot Robbie is making rare comments about motherhood, revealing that it is the "best" in an interview with Entertainment Tonight
Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley welcomed their son in October 2024, although they have not revealed his name
The couple, who tied the knot in 2016, first met on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française in 2013
Margot Robbie just loves being a mom.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, published Wednesday, Aug. 20, the actress and producer — who welcomed her son with husband Tom Ackerley on Oct. 17 2024 — described motherhood as "the best."
"It's funny, you try to explain to someone who has kids, you don't need to because they get it," she told the outlet. "And if they don't, it's probably just really boring to hear."
"It's the best," she said.
A source confirmed to PEOPLE in November that Robbie, 35, and Ackerley, 35, had welcomed their boy, whose name has not been revealed.

The source also noted that the couple were loving spending time with their baby in Los Angeles.
"They have been hanging out in [Los Angeles] as a family," the source said before adding, "Tom's mom has been visiting from England."
"Margot has several projects lined up next year. She wants to rest now and spend time with the baby," the insider continued. "She's enjoying motherhood."
"They've both been settling into being parents," the source added, revealing, "They're homebodies, so it's been lovely to spend the time just them, at home with him. They're so happy."

This came after PEOPLE reported in July 2024 that the couple were expecting their first child together with a source revealing that the couple had "waited a long time to get pregnant, so it was almost unbelievable when the baby actually arrived."

The couple first met on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française in 2013, where Ackerley worked as an assistant director while Robbie played the role of Celine Joseph. They then tied the knot in December 2016 in Australia's Byron Bay.
Last month, Robbie and Ackerley were photographed enjoying a sweet moment together on a hotel balcony in Naples, Italy. The new parents were snapped with their arms wrapped around each other as Robbie sipped from a bottle of water and took in the view while her husband affectionately kissed her head.
The pair were also spotted spending time on the beach in the Gold Coast of Robbie's native Australia during April. The actress looked to be enjoying herself at that time, splashing in the surf in a pale purple two-piece swimsuit.
