They say never meet your heroes. But what about your thirsty fans?

Andrew Garfield met, if not one of his thirstiest, then one of his most notorious fans on Thursday at a Q&A following a screening of his recent romantic drama, We Live in Time, at the Pilton Palais Cinema during Glastonbury 2025.

"I can't look at you in the eye," he joked in a video posted to Reddit, nervously fidgeting in his chair as he figured out how to possibly explain his relationship with the attendee to the rest of the audience.

Back in 2021, Garfield appeared in BuzzFeed video in which he read aloud thirsty posts shared to the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

"I'd let him eat crackers in bed," the more polite of the crop read. But the temperature turned up as the video wound on, causing Garfield to blush over declarations of lust like "Andrew Garfield is literally the daddy of all daddies" and infamous tweet "I want Andrew Garfield to smash a laptop on my tits."

The Los Angeles-born, English-American actor, 41, blushed and dissolved in giggles, hiding his face in his hands.

"I'm not gonna do that, I draw the line. NOPE! This is a pro tip, and also, like, boundaries — if anyone says, 'I wanna smash a laptop on your breasts,' just say, 'Get out of my house,'" he reacted.

Garfield immediately recalled the deranged post when he encountered the poster at Thursday's Q&A.

After receiving "informed consent" from her to share how they "know" each other, Garfield explained, "I had to read a bunch of tweets about me being kind of, sexually objectified online, basically, and one of them, which got me big, was, 'I want Andrew Garfield to smash a laptop on my tits.' And that is in the room with us tonight."

Peals of laughter rose up from the audience. Ever the gentleman, Garfield commended the poster's unhinged, publicly-shared wish as "one of the more creative sex acts I can imagine." He was quick to clarify, "I haven't imagined participating in that. I'm not — I refuse," but said he was "happy to meet you, and you're very creative — and sick. You're sick."

This isn't the first time Garfield has gone viral for being associated with horniness — in fact, it isn't even the first time this year.

In January, the Social Network star said of Netflix's reality dating series Too Hot to Handle, "F---, it's really good." Calling it his "guilty pleasure," Garfield summed up the show as following "a bunch of hot people who think they're going on a Love Island–type show. In the first interviews they're all like, 'Yeah, I can't wait to get railed like every day' and then the guys [are] like, 'Yeah, I can't wait to rail women every day.' They're just horny, hot people."

Just two months before that, Garfield made his long-awaited appearance on the YouTube chat series Chicken Shop Date — long-awaited especially by host Amelia Dimoldenberg, known for striking up flirtatious banter with her celebrity guests. But the sparks that flew between Dimoldenberg and Garfield seemed to many too real to be contrived for views. Despite their palpable chemistry; however, Garfield was romantically linked to A Complete Unknown star Monica Barbaro in February.
