BEIRUT, March 18 (Reuters) - An Israeli airstrike hit Beirut's Bachoura neighbourhood in the centre of the ‌city on Wednesday, a Reuters witness said, with ‌a loud explosion heard in the area after the Israeli military warned residents to evacuate a building ahead of the strike.

Smoke rises after Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs

The attack was part of a broader wave of Israeli strikes on Lebanon on Wednesday, including raids on other ‌parts of the Lebanese capital, as well as southern and eastern areas of the country, signalling an intensification of Israel's campaign against the Iran-backed Hezbollah.

Earlier on Wednesday, other Israeli strikes on Beirut killed at least six people and wounded 24 others, Lebanon's health ministry said. In southern ‌and eastern Lebanon, at least 14 people were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes, the state news agency reported, citing the health ministry.

The Israeli military said on Wednesday that it had begun striking Hezbollah targets in southern ‌Lebanon.

The latest strikes suck Lebanon deeper into the war in the Middle East after Hezbollah attacked Israel on March 2, saying ‌it aimed to avenge the killing of Iran's supreme leader. Israel has responded with an offensive that has killed more than 800 people in Lebanon and forced ‌more than 800,000 from their homes.

'NCIS' star Sean Murray unpacks major plot twist for Timothy McGee (Spoilers)

Warning: Spoilers ahead for CBS "NCIS" episode "In Too Deep," now streaming on Paramount+

USA TODAY

The March 17"NCIS" episode"In Too Deep" dove into the personal lifeof Special AgentTimothy McGee (Sean Murray).

The surprising episode (now streaming onParamount+) involves a previously unknown past love of McGee, the longest-running "NCIS" character. But the unfolding story also reveals a grown child from McGee's past that even the proud family man didn't know about.

"McGee, for 22 years of this show, has had this idealized version of the way his life is supposed to go and things are compartmentalized," Murray tells USA TODAY. "He's married, he has kids already. So this episode throws him for a complete and total loop."

Sean Murray as Special Agent Timothy McGee with Patrick Keleher who has a mysterious dual role as Pete Reynolds and Matteo Garcia.

When did 'NCIS' McGee date Olivia Garcia ?

McGee is immediately struck when he finds the picture of Olivia Garcia on a dead body during a case. "She's an old girlfriend," McGee says, of the never-before-mentioned past love. "We used to date back in the day, before I met Delilah."

McGee had a romantic "NCIS" fling with Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and married longtime, pregnant girlfriend, Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman), in Season 14. The stable couple has two children, twins John and Morgan.

"This relationship must have happened sometime between Abby and Delilah if we're going by show history," says Murray. "And he dated Olivia for about six months."

At the time of the amicable break-up between Garcia and McGee, there was no mention of a child. Olivia found out she was pregnant after the split and never contacted her ex with the news.

What happened to Olivia Garcia in 'NCIS'?

Turns out she is missing, likely kidnapped. Or worse. The Trask Underground Research Facility (TURF) scientist has been missing from her bio-fuel research for weeks. McGee meets one of a clumsy TURF intern Pete, who is revealed to be Olivia's 18-year-old son, Matteo (Patrick Keleher) under interrogation.

"You can see McGee doing the math and putting two-and-two together," says Murray.

Stunned McGee has to leave the interrogation room; he's so shocked that he's likely been an accidental absentee father. But the NCIS crew perform a DNA test just to check.

Even before the positive results are in, Matteo turns out to be a chip off the old block by joining McGee in attempting to apprehend the likely kidnapper. Matteo gets taken hostage, but new dad takes out the baddie with slick moves and a fire extinguisher to the head. The tech specialist has been getting into the fray over the past seasons.

"We need to see McGee involved in more of this kind of action because it's fun, and I do it pretty decent," says Murray.

(L-R): Gary Cole as Special Agent Alden Parker, Sean Murray as Special Agent Timothy McGee, and Patrick Keleher as Matteo.

Will son Matteo appear in 'NCIS' future episodes?

Olivia turns out to be kidnapped and alive. The reunited exes agree that McGee will have a role in his son Matteo's life going forward.

"McGee has already prided himself in being a good father, because his relationship with his own father was not wonderful," says Murray. "The idea that he has an 18-year-old son freaks him out at first, but he falls into the father role naturally."

We can expect Matteo to appear in further "NCIS" episodes, because the family news will continue to ripple.

"So much remains to be seen, such as, how is Delilah going to react to this?" says Murray. "We're not going to set this and forget it. We'll revisit this for sure."

  • Fans flooded the comments with jokes and comparisons, though some — including Dwayne Johnson — defended the figure.

  • The moment follows other debated celebrity wax figures, including Zendaya's, which also sparked mixed reactions online.

Kevin Hartisn't impressed with his latest wax figure, and many of his fans seem to agree.

The comedian, 47, took toInstagramthis week to react after seeing a new statue of himself at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., which shows him dressed in a black T-shirt, black pants, a leather jacket and a long gold chain around his neck.

"WTTTTFFFFF …. What did I do to these people…. This is an attack…. Who in the f--k is this?????? At this point these museums are just trying to make me cry 🥺😂😂😂😂….. This s--t has to stop…. I demand a redo damn it!!!!!!!" Hart captioned the video.

The post quickly took off online, racking up more than 13 million views and nearly 30,000 comments as fans flooded the replies with their own reactions to the statue. Many joked that the figure didn't quite capture the actor's likeness, with some comparing it to entirely different celebrities.

"You asked for Kevin Hart and got Kevin The Weeknd," one user commented.

"You may be entitled to compensation…. 🤦🏽‍♀️," another wrote.

Someone else replied, "Lololol who is that supposed to be because NO!"

Still, not everyone thought the figure missed the mark. Some fans defended the statue — including one of Hart's famous friends.

"It's PERFECT, Don't change a thing," Dwayne Johnson, 53, commented.

Earlier this year,Zendaya's newest wax figurealso drew mixed reactions when it was unveiled. Madame Tussauds New York debuted the statue on Jan. 6, drawing inspiration from the look she wore to aDune: Part Twofan event in Mexico City.

The figure reflected the sleek, fashion-forward outfit from the appearance, complete with textured leather elements, a slit skirt and statement jewelry. The museum framed the statue as a tribute to Zendaya's influence, but fans immediately began examining the details more closely.

Reactions across social media ranged from cautious approval to open skepticism. Some viewers noted that wax figures are notoriously difficult to perfect, with one person commenting that it is "realistically not that bad" compared to other celebrity statues.

Others focused on aspects of the likeness that they felt seemed slightly off. "They're usually so on point with these," one fan writes, while another said that Zendaya's wax figures never seem to fully resemble her.
