Actress Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from her husband, country musician Keith Urban, after nearly 20 years of marriage, according to court documents obtained Tuesday by CBS News.

The documents show that the 58-year-old Kidman filed for divorce Monday from the 57-year-old Urban in Davidson County Circuit Court in Nashville, Tennessee, where the couple resides.

She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason, per the court documents.

A separate marital dissolution agreement signed by both Kidman and Urban shows that the two reached a co-parenting arrangement that will see Kidman serve as the "primary residential parent" of their two teenage daughters, with Urban having visitation and other rights.

As part of their agreement, both are required to attend a parent education class within 60 days.

CBS News has reached out to both Kidman and Urban's representatives for comment.

Kidman and Urban began dating in 2005 and married in 2006 in Australia, where they are both from.

"Meeting her and getting married was just, wasn't life changing, it was life beginning," Urban told CBS Sunday Morning of Kidman in a 2016 interview. "It was literally, like, 'OK, life starts.'"

And in a separate 2016 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Kidman recounted how Urban rushed to her side following the death of her father in 2014, abandoning a concert in Nashville and flying to California to be with her.

"I didn't even know how to get up from this," Kidman said at the time, saying she got through it "because I had a husband who came right back."

"I called him screaming and crying, and he was about to go on stage, and he walked off stage, and he got on a plane — he'd just gotten there — he flew six hours, and he was right back," Kidman said.

Last December, Kidman offered a glimpse into their home life, saying that the family tries to have breakfast together every morning, even with Kidman and Urban's busy schedules.

"Even with what I've got now, I've been able to juggle things to accommodate my family, which is a fantastic thing," Kidman told CBS News at the time. "I enjoy my home, and I enjoy my family, and I enjoy my work."

Kidman, one of the world's biggest movie stars, was previously married to actor Tom Cruise for a little over a decade, with whom she shares two adopted children. She is known for films including "Moulin Rouge," "Eyes Wide Shut" and "The Hours," for which she won an Oscar for best actress in 2003.

This is the first marriage for Urban, who has been one of country music's most well-known acts for decades. He has won four Grammys and served as a judge on "American Idol" for several seasons.

FX wants to walk this way, with the basic cabler officially giving out a pilot order to the comedy "Very Young Frankenstein."

The project was originally reported to be in the works back in June. The pilot will star Zach Galifianakis ("The Hangover," FX's "Baskets"), Dolly Wells ("Doll & Em," "Inside Man"), and Spencer House ("Tell Me Lies," "The Society") as well as Nikki Crawford (Broadway's "Fat Ham," "Cruel Intentions") and Kumail Nanjiani ("Silicon Valley," "The Big Sick'). As previously reported, Cary Elwes ("Robin Hood: Men in Tights," "The Princess Bride") will also star.

Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, aside from the fact that the pilot is inspired by the Mel Brooks-Gene Wilder film "Young Frankenstein." Character details are likewise under wraps, but sources say that Galifianakis will play Dr. Frankenstein. It was also previously reported that Elwes would play the President of the United States. Should the show get picked up to series, it would air on Hulu.

"Very Young Frankenstein" hails from writer Stefani Robinson, who also executive produces along with Taika Waititi and Garrett Basch. All three are alums of the hit FX comedy series "What We Do in the Shadows." Waititi will also direct the pilot. Brooks, who co-wrote and directed the film, will executive produce, as will Kevin Salter and Michael Gruskoff. Salter is Brooks' producing partner, while Gruskoff produced the original film. 20th Television is the studio.

Galifianakis is repped by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes. Nanjiani is repped by Mosaic, UTA, and Origin PR. Crawford is repped by Artists & Representatives and The Zachary Co. House is repped by Gersh. Wells is repped by UTA in the U.S., Independent in the U.K., and manager Heather Nunn. Elwes is repped by IAG, Link Entertainment, attorney Lev Ginsburg and Hamilton Hodell in the U.K.

"Young Frankenstein" premiered in 1974 to love from both critics and audiences. It is widely cited as one of the funniest American films ever made. Wilder starred as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (or Fronk-en-steen), the grandson of Victor Frankenstein. When he inherits his grandfather's estate in Transylvania, Frederick finds himself drawn to continuing his predecessor's work in reanimating the dead.

The cast also included Cloris Leachman, Marty Feldman, Teri Garr, Madeline Kahn, Peter Boyle, and Kenneth Mars. Gene Hackman also makes a brief appearance in the film as a blind man who encounters Frankenstein's monster.

Mariah Carey is opening up about her unreleased '90s grunge album

She spoke to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show about the project

"I always regretted not putting it out," said Carey of Someone's Ugly Daughter

Will Mariah Carey's unreleased grunge album finally see the light of day?

In a new interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, the Songbird Supreme, 56, opened up about making her unreleased grunge album Someone's Ugly Daughter in the '90s and even played a clip of its track "Prom Queen" for the audience.

Fallon, 51, brought up the album by noting that Questlove recently played him a few tracks, which he loved. He then held up the cover, which features a lipstick drawing as well as a kiss print and a dead cockroach.

"Someone's Ugly Daughter is the title. Never released. But I do like the cover, and I drew this cover. I didn't draw the roach. The roach is real," said Carey of the album, attributed to the band Chick.

The Grammy winner recalled making the project. "I was just rebelling because I was working on Daydream, and I was doing, like, 'Always Be My Baby' and 'Fantasy,' and those kind of songs, and I loved doing that," she said. "But at the end of the night, when the band was still there, I'd say, 'Can you play, like, [vocalizes]?' You know, just play this so that I can get out of my head."

Questlove chimed in, "It's her best record."

Fans have long known about the album and heard versions of its songs featuring lead vocals by Carey's friend, Clarissa Dane. But the "Obsessed" singer recently played a few snippets of her vocal takes at Apple Music's Flowers event in New York City earlier this month.

During the Tonight Show interview, she allowed Fallon to play a clip of the song "Prom Queen" for the audience. "I just want to say I don't know which record label this is owned by," said Carey. "I don't think it's any of them because it's just the way that it went down, but let's discuss. It was never released."

Fallon suggested she release Someone's Ugly Daughter as a Christmas gift to listeners, but she explained the project "doesn't really go with the season. It's more Halloween."

"Prom Queen" features lyrics about a teenage boy figuring out his identity. ""On the day he turned 16 / He washed his face and brushed his teeth / Looked in the mirror, longingly / Said 'I could be the next prom queen' / Yeah, I can be anything that I want to be / Someday I will show them all," she sings on the track.

Carey then added of the album, "I always regretted not putting it out, but they kind of stopped me at that point. You know, it was Sony at the time. We love the Sony now, but back then… a little controlling."

"We can put it out, yes," she continued, "on Jimmy Fallon records."

Elsewhere during Carey's latest appearance on The Tonight Show, she performed "Play This Song" with Anderson .Paak from her new album, Here for It All, which came out on Friday, Sept. 26.

In a December 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Carey opened up about Someone's Ugly Daughter. "People have been asking me about it, and it's something that I love so much," she said. "And we might see it in 2025, probably a little bit later than that."

Jennifer Lawrence has a hot take.

In the midst of doing press for her new movie "Die, My Love," the Academy Award-winning actress, who was discussing messy relationships with co-star Robert Pattinson, revealed she is #TeamJeremiah, as in Jeremiah Fisher, a character and love interest in the Amazon Original Series "The Summer I Turned Pretty."

Following a slightly contentious and rather cinematic conclusion, Season 3 of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" revealed which Fisher brother, Conrad or Jeremiah, reigned supreme in the epic battle for Belly's heart.

"I have been ordered by all of my friends to not reveal this," Lawrence says in the clip. "I'm team Jeremiah, I am."

Lawrence's "hot take" sent "Summer I Turned Pretty" fans into a frenzy, with many debating about whether she was right or wrong in the comments of streaming platform MUBI's post, which has garnered over 8 million views since it was posted on Sept. 29.

Speaking directly to the camera, Lawrence, who offers some context to a confused Pattinson, doubles down on her choice, offering a pretty specific explanation about why she favors the younger Fisher brother.

Jennifer Lawrence: 'I think that Conrad is toxic'

According to Lawrence, Conrad is "toxic" because he flip-flops back and forth on his feelings for Belly, unlike Jeremiah, who is loyal from the start. Lawrence was also not a fan of Conrad's love confession, served beachside, the night before Belly's wedding.

"I think that Conrad is toxic," Lawrence says in the clip. "Like, he kind of liked her, but then he didn't, and he left her hanging. And then for him to confess his love to her the night before her wedding is sick."

Jennifer Lawrence seen attending a red-carpet event for new film "Die, My Love" in San Sebastian, Spain on Sept. 26, 2025.

Debates, sometimes heated ones and think pieces, about which Fisher brother really is the best choice for Belly have occurred since the start of the show. Jeremiah stans, including Lawrence, haven't been as vocal about their preference, likely, for fear of being judged or ridiculed by other fans.

Social media accounts for "The Summer I Turned Pretty" even issued warnings throughout Season 3, reminding fans that "the show isn't real but the people playing the characters are."

Pattinson, thoroughly amused by Lawrence's passion, said he keeps "intending to watch the show."

"I'm, I'm Team Jeremiah," Lawrence concludes. "Rake me over the coals."
