Rangers winger Vaclav Cerny won't face further action by the police following an investigation into the 'watergate' incident at Parkhead during the last Old Firm derby. The 27-year-old was the subject of a probe after appearing to spray Celtic fans with water following Ibrox striker Hamza Igamane's late winner on March 16. Cerny could still face SFA punishment but police have found that no criminality had taken place. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'We received information, enquiries were carried out and no criminality has been established.

Scottish trainer Sandy Thomson could not hide his frustration as the British Horseracing Authority banned Mr Incredible from running in Saturday's Randox Grand National due to the horse being deemed 'unruly' by stewards. Mr Incredible, who is trained in the Borders by Thomson and was set to be the only Scottish-based runner in this year's Grand National, has not completed a race since March 2024 and has pulled up or refused to race in each of his last four runs at a racecourse.
