Women tennis players are set to receive paid maternity leave and 'comprehensive benefits' with the announcement of a landmark new initiative funded by the WTA and Saudi's PIF. The Kingdom's sovereign wealth fund, which has invested heavily across the sport, was announced as the WTA's exclusive global partner in May of last year. Saudi has since played host to the competition's showpiece event, the WTA Finals, and become the first-ever naming partner of the tour's rankings, a role PIF also plays in the men's ATP rankings.
