Ellis Genge has been left confused and outraged by the backlash against England's victory over Scotland – which saw them win the Calcutta Cup for the first time since 2020. The 30-year-old Bristol prop is a vice-captain of the national team and a stalwart of the pack who has endured plenty of 'trauma' on Test duty in recent times, so he was euphoric about the tense 16-15 win over the Scots at Twickenham in the last round of the Six Nations.

Thibaut Courtois is returning to international duty with Belgium following an absence of almost two years. The Real Madrid goalkeeper has 102 senior caps but has not played for his country since June 2023 due to a clash with former manager Domenico Tedesco. Courtois, 32, did not make the squad for UEFA Euro 2024 last summer despite being fit, having played for Madrid in the Champions League final just 13 days before the tournament began.

Trump, who met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington on Thursday, is hoping for the major tournament to be held at his course in Turnberry, Scotland, Sky News presenter Mark Austin claimed on X earlier this week. The American president's golf request is said to sit high on his wish list to the UK, which Starmer is likely to have heard in full during their meeting at the White House.

Fenerbahce have announced they have filed a lawsuit against their bitter rivals Galatasaray, after the club accused their manager Jose Mourinho of racism. The Fenerbahce head coach made comments to reporters after the incendiary derby between the two teams earlier this week about the Galatasaray bench 'jumping like monkeys'. Mourinho commented that the match was better because it was not officiated by a Turkish referee. Further to Galatasaray's accusations, which included making official complaints to UEFA and FIFA, Fenerbahce revealed exclusively to Mail Sport that they are set to launch legal action over the 'defamatory' statements.

The F1 pre-season testing session in Bahrain twice came to an abrupt halt after bizarre incidents on Friday. Ahead of the new season, drivers have been taking to the track this week - however the sessions have been marred by a number of strange occurrences. The first day of testing was halted as the result of a blackout which struck with two hours of the pre-season session left to run.
