Luke Littler was left furious by a crowd disturbance involving his mum during his walk-on in Thursday night's Premier League contest in Exeter. The 18-year-old's evening then ended in misery as he was beaten in the final by Luke Humphries. It was in the build-up to his quarter-final against Stephen Bunting, however, that the unsavoury incident involving his mother occurred. During the walk-on, Littler went to hug his mum, Lisa, but received what appeared to be a push from a spectator who wanted to shake the player's hand.

Former British Olympic champion Matty Lee, who partnered Tom Daley, has retired from diving. Lee, 26, first competed as a senior in 2014 and he was a regular presence at Commonwealth, World and European games over the following the decade. His high watermark came in his sole Olympics appearance in Tokyo in 2021 when the Leeds-born star and Daley earned gold in the men's synchronised 10m platform event. That had come after they first began an impressive partnership in 2018 working under coach Jane Figueiredo, with the pair also securing podium finishes in World and European Championships.

The NFL Network has resurfaced Patrick Mahomes' horrid 40-yard dash from his 2017 combine performance against the plea from the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback to not show the footage. Mahomes posted to social media last February that 'As the combine starts this week! All I ask is that @nflnetwork doesn't use my 40 overlay anymore.' For the second straight year, all Mahomes' message has done is given the NFL Network content, and they have shown it.
