Manchester United have lost a key member of their backroom staff after they elected to move to a role with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Besiktas. Tom Green, 33, worked a senior performance analyst for the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. He joined the club in 2017 after previously working for Derby County and Burton Albion in various analytical positions. Speaking about Green and his role, an individual told The Athletic: 'He's considered a really good football analyst and Ole needs that at Besiktas, someone who can produce and do the dirty work, create the pre-match analysis, lead the manager into a match and make sure Ole has all the data on his iPad'.

Manchester United have confirmed the £29.4million signing of left wing-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. Dorgu passed a medical on Saturday after United agreed a deal with the Italian club believed to be an initial £25.2million plus up to £4.2m in add-ons. The 20-year-old Denmark international will sign a contract until June 30, 2030 with the option of an additional year subject to visa and registration. Dorgu said: 'I am incredibly proud to be able to call myself a Manchester United player; this is a very special day for my whole family.
