Australian cricketer Steve Smith has suffered a painful hand injury during a net session in Adelaide ahead of the second Test match against India. Things have gone from bad to worse for Australia, with Smith struck on his right hand on Tuesday afternoon while doing throwdowns with teammate Marnus Labuschange. Smith, who ended his session immediately, looked in serious discomfort afterwards as a team physio inspected the injury. It is not known how serious the injury to Smith's hand is, but the alarming incident has deepened Australia's injury woes, with Josh Hazlewood already out with a side strain.
