Pressure is growing on Wayne Rooney after his Plymouth Argyle side suffered back-to-back thrashings at the hands of Bristol City and Norwich. Plymouth currently sit 21st in the Championship following a 4-0 loss at Ashton Gate on Saturday. That defeat came just four days after the Devon outfit were beaten 6-1 at Carrow Road. In total, since taking over at Home Park in May, Rooney has overseen 20 games as Plymouth boss, winning five, drawing five and losing 10.

The Chester FC supporter was spotted on camera apparently performing a gesture towards Warrington Town player Bohan Dixon after a teammate had scored. Objects were also thrown onto the pitch during ugly scenes at the Cal.Delivery Stadium during the National League North fixture in front of 2,296 fans on Saturday.
