Thomas Tuchel 'told by the FA that he can work remotely' when he begins duties as England boss next year - with the German 'set to split his time between London and Munich'

New England manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly been told by the FA that he can work remotely for part of the week when he begins duties in January. The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss will not be pressured to attend daily meetings at St George's Park, according to a report, despite committing to live in England 'most of the time' when he was appointed last month. Tuchel's arrangement would alter greatly to Gareth Southgate, who was based at the centre in Burton for three days a week during his eight years in charge of the men's team.

Former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs was pictured in the Salford City dugout during Saturday's FA Cup clash with Shrewsbury. Ex-Wales boss Giggs - who also previously had a four-game stint as United's interim manager in 2014 - is a part-owner of League Two Salford, along with former team-mates David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers, Gary and Phil. Giggs became Salford's director of football earlier this year, taking his first job since stepping down from his role with Wales in June 2022.
