About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The WNBA's explosive growth over the past three seasons has also brought some unwanted attention to its players. Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham admitted as much in a recent podcast appearance.

Cunningham is undoubtedly one of the most popular players in the WNBA today. In fact, she was recently named the second-most marketable WNBA player , behind only her Fever teammate Caitlin Clark. This ranking highlights the significant attention Cunningham receives both on and off the court.

The Fever guard, however, told Theo Von on his podcast, "This Past Weekend," that popularity has its downsides . While discussing the growth of the league, she mentioned that it has attracted "crazy people, too."

"We do have a lot of stalkers. I know I do. And like that's a negative side of things that people don't think about. So you do want to feel secure," Cunningham stated.

When Von asked her for more details about her experiences with stalkers, Cunningham shared that the FBI is watching at least 20 people.

"Like I have I think 20 people kind of that the FBI are watching for me. Me alone," she added.

Cunningham then named one of her alleged stalkers, who was arrested and charged last June: an Indiana man named Kevin Singh.

Singh allegedly threatened Cunningham and sent her explicit messages. The Fever star said in an affidavit that she "feels like she is always watching her back" and that she "doesn't feel safe and is fearful of Kevin Singh."

Singh is facing charges of stalking and intimidation. He has been held in the Marion County Jail ever since his June arrest. The alleged stalker has also been denied bail reduction recently.
