Actor and musician Jharrel Jerome ("Moonlight," "When They See Us," "Unstoppable") and actor Teo Yoo ("Past Lives," "The Recruit," "Karoshi") have joined the jury for the Golden Globes Impact Prize for Documentary.

The prize, presented by Artemis Rising Foundation and supported by Think-Film Impact Production, honors a documentary feature film in the official selection of Venice Film Festival that is calling attention to a key social issue "with journalistic and creative prowess."

Nominated documentaries for the prize include Aboozar Amini's "Kabul, Between Prayers," Jihan K.'s "My Father and Qaddafi," Lucrecia Martel's "Nuestra Tierra," Alexander Rodnyansky and Andriy Alferov's "Notes of a True Criminal," Laura Poitras and Mark Obenhaus' "Cover-Up," Gianfranco Rossi's "Below the Clouds," and Ross McElwee's "Remake."

The winning documentary will be selected "based on its social importance, journalistic integrity, artistic creativity, and narrative disruption."

The winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000, as well as an impact collaboration with Think-Film Impact Production.

Jerome and Yoo join a jury composed of Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne; Artemis Rising Foundation co-founder and CEO, Regina K. Scully; Academy-Award winning producer and co-founder of Impact Partners, Geralyn White Dreyfous; screenwriter Misan Sagay; director Edoardo Ponti; and CEO and founder of Think-Film Impact Production Danielle Turkov Wilson.

Jerome said, "Real stories are what all of us want, and what the world needs – they inspire us, and challenge what we think can be possible. It's exciting to see documentary storytelling on the rise, and to be part of what this award represents for the future of film."

Yoo said, "The power of documentary filmmaking to reveal new sides to humanity encourages us to all be more curious about the world around us – it's such an important art-form and one that deserves greater recognition and opportunity; I'm deeply honored to be part of this new award."
