Hilaria Baldwin and her 11-year-old daughter Carmen are launching a podcast called Growing Up Together, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal
On their weekly episodes, the pair will welcome guests to have open conversations about parenting from the perspective of adults and kids
"Maybe the key to healthier relationships isn't about having all the answers but rather about having real conversations, listening closely, and staying open to the process of growing together," Hilaria tells PEOPLE
Hilaria Baldwin and her daughter Carmen have some wisdom to share about raising kids.
The 41-year-old entrepreneur and her 11-year-old daughter — who released a skincare book together earlier this year — will be hitting the airwaves next month with the launch of their joint podcast Growing Up Together with Evio Creative, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
"The parenting world is full of advice and tips from experts and adults, but one crucial voice is often missing: kids," Hilaria tells PEOPLE. "From navigating the hardest phases to raising independent, resilient, and deeply connected kids, we're asking the big questions: Is it inevitable that parents and kids drift apart? Or can we grow closer as we grow up together?"
On the podcast, which debuts on Sept. 17, Hilaria and Carmen will welcome a long list of guests — kids, parents and experts of all kinds — to have "to have open, meaningful conversations" about the difficulties of raising kids, says Hilaria. "We want to grow together, and not apart, and believe that opening up and sharing these chats on a podcast can be a fun way to explore that controversial question: Can parents and kids be friends?"
"We had so much fun doing our book together and the first season of our family show that we didn't want to stop our mother-daughter projects!" she continues. "We think that having open conversations about growing up and how to stay close and connected, even during the rockiest times, is serving us well."

Growing Up Together
With the podcast, Hilaria says, she and Carmen want to underscore that parents grow up through the process of raising a kid just as much as their kids do.
"Ultimately, growing up is a lifelong journey and much of it is about discovering how we want to live our own lives and who feels good to surround ourselves with," says the entrepreneur. "Maybe the key to healthier relationships isn't about having all the answers but rather about having real conversations, listening closely, and staying open to the process of growing together."
The podcast also comes at a pivotal time for Hilaria and her husband, Alec Baldwin, as their kids are nearing their teenage years. In addition to Carmen, the pair shares sons Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 7, and Eduardo, 4, and daughters María, 4, and Ilaria, 2.

When asked how she feels about the new stage of parenthood, Hilaria tells PEOPLE, "Sometimes I get very nervous!"
"As much as I love the baby and little kids' ages, I am obsessed with them getting older too! Like it's so fun to talk with them, hear their opinions, learn from them, and just enjoy watching them find their way," she continues. "I am hoping that the amount of time we spend together and how open we are, will keep us connected during the teen years. There will undoubtedly be conflict — it's the nature of being human."
Hilaria and Alec's household was recently the subject of the TLC reality series The Baldwins, which premiered in February. The show began following the couple, who tied the knot in 2012, the month before Alec headed to court for his Rust trial last July, following the accidental shooting of the film's cinematographer in October 2021.
The series examined the day-to-day juggling of parenting and the couple's legal proceedings.

"When I think of the reality show, many things occur to me after the fact, like when we were doing it, it was a bit of a unique time for us, but afterward, when we did it, I realized that that's who we are," Alec told PEOPLE in March about filming the show.
"The kids have fun, the kids are happy. It's not like we're staging anything or faking. The kids really are in each other's lives," the actor added. "They have friends and go to play dates and this and that, but they would rather stay home with each other."
Hilaria and Alec first met in February 2011 at a New York City restaurant, and though Alec wasn't looking for a partner at the time, their connection was undeniable, and they started dating that summer.

Alec got down on one knee in April 2012, and the two wed later that year, always with the intention of having many kids. (Alec shares a 29-year-old daughter, Ireland, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.)
The two welcomed their first kid, Carmen, in August 2013 — and six more followed over the next decade.
In an interview with PEOPLE in February, Alec, 67, admitted that he jokes to his wife that they should spend time on yachts or have dinner with big Hollywood names — but instead they're still changing diapers.
"This is my reality," Alec said, reflecting on their family dynamic. "I wouldn't change anything."
