Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are celebrating 17 years of marriage.
To mark their latest anniversary on Aug. 16, the comedian and former talk show host shared a post on Instagram, featuring a throwback clip from The Ellen DeGeneres Show that captured the day she and de Rossi tied the knot in 2008.
The video shows DeGeneres, 67, and de Rossi, 52, welcoming friends and family members to their home in Los Angeles, as they sorted out florals and decor for the big day. The footage then captured the couple's emotional first look.
Both women wore custom Zac Posen designs. DeGeneres, sporting a breezy, all-white ensemble, burst into a big smile when she saw de Rossi in her blush tulle wedding dress.
"Happy 17th anniversary of the best day of my life. Portia, I love you more every day," DeGeneres wrote in the post's caption, adding the hashtag, #MarriageForAll.

Per their wedding video, the couple had napkins monogrammed with their initials side by side, and were joined by their two dogs for a number of their photos. The segment also included a clip of the couple cutting their cake, a multi-tiered design with pink and purple flowers, and sharing the first bite. DeGeneres and de Rossi were then serenaded by singer Joshua Radin at their reception.

The nuptials were an intimate affair, PEOPLE reported at the time, with only 19 guests in attendance.
A few months after tying the knot, de Rossi told PEOPLE that her life had evolved in a "lovely" way since marrying DeGeneres. She said she had gained the confidence to "live an honest, open life" and that she felt more secure.
"Marriage is a different way of being together," the actress explained at the time. "There's a peace to [being married] and a sense of togetherness that we just didn't have before. And I didn't even realize it would change as much as it has, but it's so lovely."
She added, "It's legal, and it's real, so there's that kind of formality to it that makes it very valid. I think the emotions that went with that as a gay woman kind of surprised me — that I would be that relieved to have my mother be present at the ceremony to bless the union, and to call [Ellen] her daughter-in-law."
