<p>Kayem Foods is recalling over 24,000 pounds of chicken sausage due to the possible presence of plastic pieces</p>

<p>The recall extends to a single product — "ALL NATURAL al fresco CHICKEN SAUSAGE SWEET APPLE with Vermont made syrup"</p>

<p>This comes after three consumers reported white plastic pieces in the sausages</p>

<p>Over 24,000 pounds of sausage are being recalled for possible "foreign material" contamination.</p>

<p>Kayem Foods Inc. is recalling a ready-to-eat chicken product for possibly containing pieces of plastic, according to an announcement by U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on July 17. The recall comes after three consumers reported "white pieces of plastic" inside the chicken sausage.</p>

<p>The recall extends to Kayem Foods' "ALL NATURAL al fresco CHICKEN SAUSAGE SWEET APPLE with Vermont made syrup," in 11-ounce vacuum-sealed containers of four sausages. Affected products will bear lot code 179 and establishment number P-7839, with a use/freeze by date of Oct. 1, 2025.</p>

<p>As of July 17, there were no reported injuries or health complications due to consuming the recalled sausage, but Kayem Foods urged anyone worried about injury after eating the item to seek out a physician.</p>
