New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, became parents for the first time in January 2025 with the birth of their daughter, Nora Rose Judge.

While Judge has kept his personal life out of the spotlight, the reigning MVP has opened up more since becoming a dad, occasionally sharing touching moments and meaningful reflections on fatherhood.

"She's incredible. She's sleeping through the night," he said in an MLB Network interview in March 2025. "It's not normal, that's why I don't want to say it. I was probably jinxing myself now, but she's been a blessing."

Whether he's sporting custom jewelry with her name and birthday engraved or beaming while talking about baby photos, Nora holds a central place in his life. When Yankees icon and MLB analyst Derek Jeter asked about the "new boss" in his life, Judge didn't hesitate to agree.

"Yeah, it is a new boss," he quipped. "[New York Yankees owner] Mr. Steinbrenner is a boss, but Nora Rose is definitely a new boss."

From her game-day influence to heartfelt clubhouse moments, here's everything to know about Aaron Judge's daughter, Nora Rose Judge.

She was born in January 2025

Judge and Bracksieck welcomed their first child, daughter Nora Rose Judge, on Jan. 27, 2025.

The professional baseball player announced the news on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of the newborn's feet. "What an incredible week it's been, can't wait for the memories the three of us make," he wrote.

The birth capped off a successful season for the California native, who won his second American League Most Valuable Player award in a unanimous vote in November 2024. He earned it for the first time two years prior.

Notably, Judge didn't attend the Baseball Writers' Association of America Awards dinner on Jan. 25, as he stayed home to support Samantha during the final stretch of her pregnancy. Instead, he accepted the honor in a pre-recorded message, noting that family came first.

During spring training, Judge opened up about how becoming a father has given his career a new meaning, both on and off the field. In particular, he hopes his love for the sport encourages her to go after her own dreams one day.

"Having the chance to have her grow up and watch me do what I love, if there's any way I can inspire her through playing this game to do something special, that's that's going to be pretty cool," Judge told reporters in February 2025.

The Yankees star also acknowledged how parenthood is pushing him to stay sharp, not just for his team, but for his daughter.

"I'm getting older," he added. "I don't want to be the old man here in a couple of years, so I got to stay on top of my game. So she's definitely going to motivate me, definitely keep me on my toes. And it's going to be a fun couple of years, that's for sure."

She inspired a special baseball glove

As the start of the 2025 baseball season approached, Judge kept his daughter close in a meaningful way.

He gave fans a glimpse of his latest gear on Instagram Stories: a custom pink leather glove. The name "Nora Rose" was embroidered in purple stitching alongside the Yankees' emblem.

Judge kept the caption simple but heartfelt, posting a rose and purple heart emoji: "🌹💜."

The Yankees slugger has been seen wearing a dazzling custom pendant in the shape of a gavel, a nod to his All Rise Foundation and his commanding presence at the plate.

The statement piece, commissioned by close friend and teammate Giancarlo Stanton and designed by AJ Machado of AJ's Jewelry in Miami, is packed with personal touches, according to the New York Post. The necklace is crafted in 14-karat white gold and encrusted with over 12 carats of VVS-grade diamonds. It also features purple gems.

Etched into the piece are names and dates that matter most to Judge: "Nora," his daughter's name, along with her birthday, January 27, 2025. His wife, Samantha, is honored with the engraving "Sam," and the names of the couple's beloved dogs, Gus and Penny, also appear.

A rose made from rose gold sits atop the pendant, symbolizing his daughter's middle name. The necklace even includes a subtle nod to Judge's on-field accolades, with a "2x" commemorating his two MVP titles.

Though she's still a baby, Nora Rose is already a baseball fan.

"She's been to a lot of games," Judge told the New York Post in June 2025. "She loves it. She's usually sleeping for half of them, but she loves it."

The proud dad says Nora is on the baseball schedule, staying up late after games and sleeping in alongside him and his wife, Samantha. Mornings are for playing together before he heads off to Yankee Stadium. But it can be difficult for the pro athlete when his family can't join him for away games.

"I'm not sleeping that well on the road," he shared. "I'm so used to having them right there and knowing that they're safe and with me. So some of the road trips when they're not going, I'm up all night tossing and turning, thinking they're next to me."

The new father also finds joy in the small things, like showing off baby photos to anyone who will look, a move he would previously tease friends about.

"I'm in the same boat where I get a new photo from my wife and I'm showing all the trainers, showing guys, 'Look what she did today!' " Judge joked.

Luckily, he's not the only one in the Yankees clubhouse navigating this exciting chapter. Fellow teammates like Trent Grisham, Devin Williams and Tim Hill are also in the early days of fatherhood.

"We can chat over different things," the MVP added. "Like I talked with Grish and he asked me a question about, 'Hey, what's the secret to help them sleep through the night? You got anything for me?' Little things like that. So it's pretty cool we get to share those moments."

Judge has racked up plenty of accolades during his baseball career — from MVPs to record-breaking home run seasons — but none compare to the role he values most: being a father.

"I just want to be just like my dad," he told the New York Post in June 2025. "I want to be able to teach my daughter important life lessons, always be there for her and show her the importance of hard work and little things like that. It's probably the biggest title I got, getting a chance to be my daughter's dad; that's special."

Even when the box score doesn't go his way, time with his daughter helps him reset.

"She's still looking at me with the same smile, no matter what happens," Judge continued. "That just helps me turn the page a little quicker to get to the next day, to the next moment, because I want to enjoy every moment I have with her and share those special moments. So I don't want to drag what I'm doing at work home when I see her. That definitely helps me turn the page a little better."
