Providence College's athletic director has apologized for the school's basketball fans directing an offensive chant towards BYU. On Tuesday, the Friars - a Catholic school - hosted the Mormon university in men's basketball and won 83-64. And a video emerged on social media that night of fans chanting 'F**k the Mormons' during the game. Steven Napolillo, Providence's AD, apologized afterwards for the 'unacceptable chants.' 'I want to apologize to their coaches & institution for unacceptable chants by our student body tonight,' he wrote on X.
